Baylee LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Baylee platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Service. By using Baylee, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Contractor Information

  • Name, email address, phone number
  • Business name and trade type
  • Stripe Connect account information (managed by Stripe)
  • Cancellation policy settings and fee amounts

Customer Information

  • Name, email address, phone number (provided by the Contractor)
  • Appointment confirmation status and timestamps
  • Payment method information (collected and stored by Stripe; Baylee does not store full card numbers)

Automatically Collected Information

  • IP address, browser type, device information
  • Usage data and interaction with the Service
  • Arrival and location data when using on-site check-in features

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Send appointment confirmations, reminders, and notifications via SMS and email
  • Process cancellation fee payments through Stripe
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Service
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud or technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

  • With Stripe: Payment and account information necessary to process transactions
  • With Twilio: Phone numbers and message content for SMS notifications
  • With Resend: Email addresses and message content for email notifications
  • Between Contractors and Customers: Appointment details, confirmation status, and business information as necessary for the Service to function
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process

5. Payment Security

All payment card information is collected, processed, and stored by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 certified payment processor. Baylee does not store, log, or have access to full credit card numbers, CVVs, or other sensitive cardholder data. For more information, see Stripe's security documentation.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Contractor account data is retained until account deletion is requested. Customer information associated with completed jobs is retained for record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

8. SMS / Text Message Communications

Baylee uses the Twilio messaging platform to deliver appointment-related SMS on behalf of the Contractor you book with. This section describes the SMS program in the form required by US carrier and messaging-regulator standards.

Opt-in

By checking the SMS consent box on a Contractor's booking page at getbaylee.com/book/[contractor] and submitting your appointment request, you expressly consent to receive automated, transactional text messages at the phone number you provided, sent on behalf of the Contractor you are booking with. Consent is required to use the booking service because appointment confirmations, arrival updates, and fee notifications are delivered exclusively by SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase of any separate service.

Message types you will receive

  • Confirmation link and card-on-file setup (sent immediately after booking)
  • 24-hour and 1-hour appointment reminders
  • Real-time technician arrival updates (arrived, waiting for access)
  • Completion receipt with the amount charged, if any
  • Fee notifications if a no-show or late-cancel fee is applied to the card on file
  • Cancellation confirmations

Message frequency

Up to 8 messages per appointment. Messages are strictly transactional and tied to a specific appointment you booked; Baylee does not send marketing or promotional SMS.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, charged by your mobile carrier. Baylee does not add a fee for sending SMS.

How to opt out (STOP)

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any Baylee SMS. You will receive a final confirmation message and will not receive further transactional SMS from Baylee, except as required to confirm your opt-out. If you opt out, the Contractor may not be able to reach you about your appointment, which may result in a missed-appointment fee per the Contractor's booking policy.

How to get help (HELP)

For questions about a specific appointment (timing, rescheduling, fees, on-site access), contact the Contractor directly using the phone number included in each of their SMS messages. Baylee does not act as support for the Contractor–Customer relationship; we only deliver the messages on the Contractor's behalf.

For questions about the Baylee platform itself (opt-out, privacy, data requests, or if SMS is misdelivered), reply HELP to any message or contact support@getbaylee.com.

Carriers and disclaimer

Messages are delivered via major US carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Data handling for SMS

Phone numbers and message content are shared with Twilio as a necessary processor to deliver SMS. Baylee does not sell or share your phone number for marketing purposes with any third party. Inbound replies (such as STOP, HELP, or responses to a Contractor) are logged for operational audit and dispute resolution.

9. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
